Our Services

Play Therapy

With the use of play (toys and other creative art media), we engage children in order to help resolve or prevent emotional and/or behavioural challenges. Play is said to be the language of children, while the toys are their words. This form of therapy helps in gearing the children towards better social integration, growth and development, emotion management and trauma resolution.

Individual Counselling Therapy

Life can take a toll on the mind body; as we go through life, we experience daily stressors which could sometimes be overwhelming. At other times, we experience situations which result in extreme stress and distress. These stressors, whether daily or occasionally could destabilize us and affect our psychological and physical health negatively.

In order to help clients cope with these stressors effectively, we offer individual counselling and therapy services that will help them build resilience, develop effective coping mechanisms, build strong relationships and rise above traumatic experiences.

Couple’s Counselling

Human relationships are very complex and it is important that we learn how to manage them effectively. Marriage is one of the prominent relationships with greater levels of conflict and it requires certain skills to be navigated successfully.

Through our marriage counselling sessions, we work with couples to effectively manage and complement their differences and also to develop effective communication and conflict resolution skills for a deeper relationship.

We also offer pre-marital counselling for engaged couples who would like to arm themselves with foundational knowledge and skills before going into a marriage relationship.

Developmental Screening

We offer developmental screening for children (3months -5 years) and psychosocial (behavioural and emotional) functioning screening for children and adolescents (4-17 years). Developmental screening is vital because it helps to monitor a child’s developmental milestones. It ensures early identification and timely intervention of developmental delays. It also aids in determining whether or not a child will need further comprehensive evaluation/assessment

Why Screen?

  • Early identification of infants and toddlers at risk of social-emotional deficits is crucial for improving developmental outcomes.
  • Early detection of developmental delay will enable parents to seek appropriate professional help to assist the child in improving on the identified deficit skills.
  • Once established, social-emotional problems are highly resistant to change and intensify if not managed effectively and timely.
  • Strong relationships exist between childhood social-emotional problems and delinquency and later criminality.
  • Our screening procedure assesses 6 domains:

    1. Communication
    2. Gross Motor skills
    3. Fine Motor skills
    4. Problem-solving
    5. Personal-social
    6. Social-emotional skills
Employee Assistance Program

The EAP is a management tool that, when properly used, can increase productivity by dealing with the day-to-day problems of employees and their families that distract or keep them from optimally performing when at work. Assistance is aimed at cost effective, short-term problem resolution. These programmes offer participants the opportunity to resolve personal problems early enough, before they deteriorate and then become costly to resolve from the standpoints of high medical expenditure, lost productivity and intrusion into the individual’s personal life.

The Waiting Room

This workshop is designed to provide an emotionally supportive environment for couples dealing with fertility related issues. The couples are encouraged to expressly dialogue about the impact of this struggle on their lives. They also learn effective communication, as well as effective coping skills. Couples who have been able to navigate this journey successfully as a team against all odds also share their stories to encourage the participants.

The main essence of this seminar is for each couple to eventually be able to look back on their seemingly tumultuous journey to parenthood and proudly say “We made it and emerged even stronger as a unit!”
